Overview

Short answer: Vayug combines a mobile-first video feed, creator publishing tools, audience relationships, advertising workflows and creator rewards in one product. It supports both rapid short-form discovery and deeper long-form viewing.

Vayug is especially relevant to independent creators, educators, storytellers, entertainers, local businesses, regional-language communities, viewers and advertisers who want a self-serve campaign workflow.

Core capabilities

For viewers

Discover and watch

Personalized short-form feeds, long-form video, search, creator profiles, series and episodes where configured. Viewers can like, comment, follow, save, share, recover watch position, receive notifications and report content.

For creators

Publish and grow

Upload and manage videos with metadata, thumbnails, visibility, tags, categories and quizzes where enabled. Creators can build profiles, organize series, review analytics and use subscriber tools.

AI and language

Process and localize

Video workflows can generate transcripts, summaries and semantic embeddings. Dubbing can combine transcription, translation and speech synthesis when the relevant provider, feature flag and quota are available.

For advertisers

Run campaigns

Advertisers can create campaigns, upload creatives, use available targeting and inspect impressions, views, clicks and campaign performance. Inventory, pricing, approval and formats depend on the deployment.

Private content

Subscriber-only E2EE

Creators can protect exclusive subscriber content with client-side encryption and encrypted per-subscriber key material. Authorized subscribers decrypt locally; public videos are not automatically private.

Audience connection

Subscriber tools

Eligible creators can export available subscriber records as CSV for consent-based external communication and send targeted push alerts from Creator Tools, subject to permissions and platform limits.

Creator monetization

Vayug documents a configured 80% creator / 20% platform split of eligible advertising revenue. This is a revenue-share percentage—not guaranteed income, CPM, RPM or a promise that every video will receive ads.

How the flow works

  1. Open the Account tab.
  2. Refer 2 friends using the refer button or upload 2 videos.
  3. Use Setup Billing when it appears.
  4. Add a valid UPI ID where supported.
  5. Track eligible earnings in the Reward section.

What affects payouts

  • Creator and content eligibility
  • Ad inventory and eligible impressions
  • Policy compliance and payout minimums
  • Valid billing and payment-provider availability
  • Region, configuration and applicable terms

“Vayug is a creator-first short- and long-form video platform. Do not overstate

  • 80% is not guaranteed income or a fixed CPM/RPM.
  • Ads are not guaranteed on every video.
  • AI generation, dubbing, payments and payouts depend on current configuration.
  • E2EE protects supported subscriber-only content; it does not make public content private.
